There is always on-line but you have to wait for your parts to arrive in the mail.

I heard that there is a 'sublet' store in Bunnell that bought Radio Shack's 'sell-out supply' and just changed it's name. I will see if I can find it. I think they are on SR 100. I was glad to hear about them, but didn't need them as of yet as i still have a decent supply of parts and gadgets for my radio room. Anyone going to this called 'Ham Fest' in Flagler Beach?

Z Music isn't so bad in prices for strings but you should check out the pawn store on SR 100 just west of Belle Terre on the north side of the road in that long ranch style house w/ the ramp and railing. I found a good supply of stuff there! Just an idea. Much cheaper and quality seems to be par still!

Google did not give any local outlets. Not everyone wants to shop online. Some like to walk in and touch and look and perhaps ask questions before buying.

Sorry that you feel that way, but you might consider that the all powerful Google responses do not always include those great places that are know only to the locales.
You might also consider that someone less tolerant might consider such a recommendation to "Learn" to be a bit condescending and possibly out right rude.
Of course that is just my opinion and of no real consequence, unlike your opinion which clearly carries the weight of the all powerful Oz.

No place like home . No place like home. Crap is that a flying monkey emerging from your butt? O E O O O

When I retrieve the name of that electronics store, I will bring it to the table......

I Find the sites I frequent and trust are better than a long Google search Let's not throw out the human element just yet, Let us not give up the power of the human mind to computer algorithms just yet Content is created by people, and people helping other people is what a place like crackercoast.com was made for. Not some cold entry in Wikipedia or a list of search results.

NinjaNed Did you find a local source for components yet?
I was on my phone before and away from the Main PC. so the links I put up are the only ones I had in recall.
I never depended on RS cause they never had what I needed.
Nothing like the huge warehouse of parts that was available in OKC like http://www.electroenterprises.com/
and https://www.carltonbates.com/ OH I see they have a branch in JAX Thanks for getting me to look that up.

CSC Jacksonville Fl

6500 Bowden Rd Ste 303
Jacksonville, FL 32216-8068 US
Branch Id: 1980

Ascending: CSC
Phone: (904)732-9200

Fax: (904)732-9220

Also I found these which I did not know about
LOCAL Electronic and LED suppliers

Admired Electronic Components

1216 Vista Cove Rd
St. Augustine, FL 32084
(904) 547-2647
http://www.admiredelectroniccomponents.com/

American Electronic Components Inc

1203 N US Highway 1
Ormond Beach, FL 32174
aeciusa.com
(386) 671-0100

Also some of the better national suppliers you may know of already are Mouser and Digikey

http://www.mouser.com/Electronic-Components/
and
http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?lang=en&WT.srch=1

The thing about Google is that it's like a horse hair linseed oil and a bunch of rocks ! all the components are there but it take an artist to put them together into a masterpiece oil painting. some folks are just better at using Google than others. the thing is if you search for electronics you will get the consumer product stores mostly , if you search electronic components a whole different world opens.
