Well I will give it to you even though its a bit vague. Its called a Dibble so you don't rub the skin off your finger poking holes in the dirt. I have used the handle of a hoe or a stick before but this is state of the art dirt pokin and the only way to put liners in a pot.

Nope, Interesting guess. I will leave it up till later ronight when I will reveal what it is, HIH was the closest thus far. In the age of solid state this has lost its usefulness for what it was designed for.

Well I guess its just to obscure ! except to the telephone technician. Those are nippers for cutting out the worn springs in telephone relays that were packed very close and tight back in the old days. made for bell systems by Utica Tools. The adjustment is for resetting the blades after they have been sharpened.

This might be a little easier
