said Florida Forest Service Senior Forester Greg Dunn.

As of Tuesday evening, no structures were in danger, and the fire was 70 percent contained.
Lightning caused the fire, Dunn said. The fire was about a mile from the end of Faver Dykes Road.
Crews established a line around the fire and were scheduled to be on scene until around 8 p.m.
“For tonight we feel very secure about the fire lines that are around it,” Dunn said on Tuesday.
Crews were expected to return today.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue assisted the Florida Forest Service.

Swamp type fires are the worst. Poor guys can't even walk into them for fear of sinking into the undergrowth burning underneath the ground.
