</figure> Florida Man — the embodiment of all bizarre, unbelievable headlines spawned in the Sunshine State — is getting his own beer.
Tampa’s Cigar City Brewing is bottling Florida Man Double IPA as a tribute to the world’s worst superhero, the Orlando Sentinel reported. Florida Man has a cult following on Twitter, where the character rounds up all the weird crime news and outrageous only-in-Florida stories.
The IPA bottle features the same mug shot that serves as @_FloridaMan’s Twitter picture — but the brewery added aviator sunglasses for an added dose of Florida. Although, that mugshot actually belongs to a man who was arrested in Indiana, the Orlando Sentinel pointed out. Ricky Lee Kalichun was booked in 2011 after he scribbled on his face with black marker and then allegedly attacked another man with a sword.
The “crazy hoppy” IPA is currently on tap in the Tampa tasting room, joining the company’s other on-tap beers, such as its Florida Cracker White Ale. A bottle will cost you $9.
Cigar City plans to distribute Florida Man Double IPA to stores across the state. There’s no word on whether the brew could get a national rollout.
