...what is the proper forum for National News that doesn't fall into the political, health, science, technology, arts, or entertainment sports news?

E.g. The billionaire that is paying off the Morehouse College graduates’ school loans, extreme weather instances, Interstate pileups, terrorist attacks. Thus far I use the “chit chat” form, but I thought that might have been intended for more local stuff.

We need a moderator that can move local topics out of the flaglerlive sub-forum into a non political area. Enhancing and promoting the primary pupose of this website, to share and discuss local needs.

I will try to do this, my question is what to do with the flaglerlive postings that address national political issues...should they just be left where they are? Also, the issues that address local political areas...do they say in the thread where it is original imported? Or is it only national political issues that stay in the paid/supported forum?

P.S. Where should those flaglerlive postings go that are "briefings" and contain multi-subject topic of various types? Hey Boss, this ain't easy.... :b-wink:

P.S.S. Can we get a forum for national news that is not political and does not fall within "arts, sports, entertainment, health, science or technology"?

Just national politics should stay in the restricted forum, all local and state should be in one of the open forums. Google and search engines do not see anything in the political sub.

There is the weather and disaster sub that might be appropriate for some things. I am not sure what kind of thing that is not political would not be covered by those. How would you describe it.

See post #3 this thread, as well as things such as the flooding in Houston and other national news, interest rates going so low that those with savings get zero and the wealthy can borrow nearly interest free to make more money. I thought the weather forum is basically local.

interest rates are a political construct and certainly invite political arguments I have updated the descriptions on entertainment and science to include other non political topics that are not specific to NE Florida.

I don’t agree that interest rates issues are political on their face. They are IMO more commerce, economic and banking related. Of course trump has turned them political because he thinks it is much more important that the wealthy get cheap money than people like you and I earn a few dollars on our savings. Thanx for the changes you made.

Of course trump has
Thank you for demonstrating my point. They are intrinsically political and every argument that you have made about them is political.
creating Real wealth by encouraging innovation and industry is not the same as increasing commerce and consumerism . The FED is absolutely a political entity.

There are flaglerlive postings that need action; however, until I know what to do with them (as outlined above I don't know what to do with them.

Flaglerlive national political threads can go in the world and national political area , all local and state issues can go into the local news under the specific local they are about, IG if its palm coast specific it goes to the palm coast sub, Flagler beach in the beaches, county county wide in flagler , St. John's or volusia or as it may be a regional or statewide in Florida news.
The primary reason is to keep national political items and keywords out of the sight of search spiders who down rank our local concerns website with partisan methodology.
We need Google to see lost dogs, code enforcement issues, city council local events complaints about waste pickup, DIY, home repair local history ect..... things that define and invite our neighbors to join in and make this their local news aggregate and soap box.
