New to CrackerCoast....Need Recommendations

My wife and I just retired to Palm Coast buying a home in the F Section in December 2019. We are loving it here. Much better than New York. I bought the vacant lot next to my house lot. I plan on getting rid of the 10'X10' shed on my house lot, combining the lots and buying a 200 sq. ft. shed on the vacant lot, if aloud, and having it professionally landscaped. I'm scheduled to have a vinyl privacy fence installed around the enter property later in March 2020, after everything is combined and all easements are taken care of. It'll have a 10' gate in the fence section across the front of the vacant lot for access. I would like the shed to be attractive, quaint and out of the way, with large overhangs, while conforming with code of co-ordinating with my existing house. As far as landscaping.......Coquina Rocks (large with holes)....Palm trees and native plants. Idea is.....an enjoyable area to give us privacy and pleasure. I'm having a circular driveway installed, today, so, that's probably going to need some landscaping.
What I need from you people is recommendations on what professionals I should hire to achieve our dreams. A company that sells a different kind of shed, rather then the standard boring ones. Landscapers on my "check out" list are Gospel Gardens and Nature Scapes Landscape Gardens. Source for Coquina Rocks is Arrow Supply. Thank you your advice, in advance.

My understanding is that the owner of this website, ROOT, is a primo landscaper and artist. You can private message him by clicking on the envelope icon in the upper right hand corner to the right of your screen name. Your ideas for your home sound lovely, good luck.

Welcome Ron, we are just down the road from the F section in Tidelands.

There is a shed place on US 1 in Bunnell (Next to Thunder Gulch and the PAX-track (about 4 miles south of Palm Coast Pkwy) on the west side of US1, maybe they can help vs a Lowes or HD type shed. I think the owners name is Joe.

I think I have also seen another place on US 1 going north towards St Augustine from the US 1 exit on 95

Check the city code. There is a size limit on free standing sheds. Anything larger and they become an additional building with many more headaches.

Thank you. They're probably the standard cookie cutter type shed, with a 4" roof overhang. I want a 16" overhang.

Wonder if there is such a thing as prefab sheds that can be built on site and altered to meet the needs/requirements of the purchaser???

I'll have to look into that, Kathy. Thank you. I think I better, also, check and see what I'm aloud to put on a vacant lot.

Ron I Replied to your PM, Id be glad to help you make great decisions for your future environment, I also have a vacant adjoining lot and give you the low down on what you can do with it and how to remove the easement. I can help you negate the troubles with contractors and labor, while I am not retired, and still do work more efficient and productive Than most 20 yr olds I avoid working with employees and dealing with all that comes with being responsible for other peoples income and drumming up payroll weekly.
Call or text me and Ill come over and share your vision and help you achieve it by consultation and choosing and overseeing contractors,
also I know all the secret sources of materials, beyond the box stores and local retail suppliers.
